Riding and riding trails
Vesthimmerland is a true paradise when it comes to riding and riding trails. You will find multiple opportunities to rent horses.
Riding trails:
In Vesthimmerland we have several riding trails, e.g. the Himmerland Trail, the trail around Vilsted Lake and in Uhrehøj Plantation.
Pony riding and riding groups:
 Stald Rønbjerg Stald (Stable) Rønbjerg offers pony riding. Stald Rønbjerg is located by Danparcs on Livøvej 80 in Rønbjerg. You can ride on tracks as well as indoors.
There are opportunities for both small children and others that cannot ride. Parents are welcome to pull the horse with their child on it. Additionally, it is possible to take part in small guided trips in the terrain around Danparcs.

 Vilsted Søgaard, that also has Bed & Breakfast, offers riding on tracks and in the terrain for both beginners and experienced riders. Vilsted Søgaard has educated instructors in riding for the disabled.

Riding holiday and riding camps: Meldgaard Heste, Meldgaard Heste (Horses), which is located by Strandby near Fasø, offers you a riding holiday in Vesthimmerland. Meldgaard Heste is a riding centre with Icelandic ponies. In addition to a farm shop you also have the possibility to go sailing in a canoe or stay overnight. Horse and buggy rides:
 Horse and buggy rides
Horse and buggy rides are available during “Village culture in Vesthimmerland comes alive” on April 18 th when there is sowing and on the harvest days on 7th and 8th August. The rides start by “Drivhuset” on Korsholmvej 178 in Gedsted. You pay and entrance fee and then the horse and buggy rides are free.
