Vesthimmerlands Museum in Aars has a beautiful copy of the Gunderstrup and Skarpsalling Vessels, the latter of which you can find on the new 50 kroner bill.  There is a wealth of antiquities in Vesthimmerland. You can experience the Viking Age close up by visiting the Viking Castle Aggersborg.  For you can visit the Borremose Fortification which was constructed during the Bronze Age about 2000 years ago.  Vitskøl Monastery was constructed in the Middle Ages by Cistercian monks.
